A mountainous floral paradise with 3,000 blooming peach trees
Some 3,000 peach trees come into bloom in Toyota City's town of Kaminaka once spring rolls around. The Kaminaka area offers paved pathways to flower viewers as well as a temporary parking lot filled with food and other merchandise vendors to let you enjoy the scene on a full stomach. The nearly one-kilometer stretch offers a myriad of different weeping peach tree varieties in a spectacle which is seemingly Heaven on Earth.

Parking | Paid parking available (Shidaremomo no Sato temporary parking lot: 200 spaces. JPY 1,000/kei or standard-size vehicle [includes a JPY 100 donation fee].) Cooperative donation fee: The beauty of Kaminaka's approximate 3,000 weeping peach trees is only possible due to year-round management, such as cutting the surrounding grass, fertilizing, pruning, and other work. A donation fee is requested to each vehicle using the parking lot to ensure a future for the trees. |
Restrooms | No restrooms available past the Asahi Tourism Association and Toyota City Hall's Asahi Branch. Use a restroom before proceeding on to the venue as the drive takes time should traffic congestion occur. |
